What are we up to?

There's a feature on the right that says "What are we up to?" from September 2008. I guess it is pretty out of date, but I don't want to delete it because it's like a little time capsule. Here's a more current description of our latest:

Mark - traveling for work (Palm Springs, San Francisco, New York City, Korea), looking forward to college football season, excited to celebrate his 13th wedding anniversary, teaching Audrey to ride a bike and tie her shoes, trying to figure out what to do when Claire throws a tantrum, plotting the purchase of his new iPod, trimming our trees by himself, obsessing about the color of our lawn (yellowish-green), can't get enough Redbox movies (yes on Ghostwriter, no on Couples Retreat), telling a lot of pregnancy stories for Audrey (see below)

Melissa - Still trying to make the house look like a magazine, doing a lot of freelance, reading a couple of books a week (loved Rainwater, Superfreakonomics, and Rocket Men), harvesting tomatoes and peppers from her garden, hoping she'll really get a new car this year but who has time to test drive cars?, eating mouthwatering Mexican food in her hometown, signing up to be team mom for Audrey's soccer team, thinking about ditching Facebook, wondering when she'll strike a good balance between work, housework, family time and personal development

Audrey - losing teeth left and right, fearfully anticipating first grade, pretending she is pregnant all the time and demanding stories about her birth and anyone else's, trying to ride her bike without training wheels and tie her own shoes, having a great time visiting Nanie and Papa and their pool a couple times a month where she swims like every sea creature known to man and few imaginary ones, too, doing her workbooks every day so she is ready for first grade, still hates vegetables and most fruits, practicing cartwheels, playing with her sister, telling jokes, making a best friend everywhere she goes

Claire - not sure she wants to be potty trained or be able to dress herself, feed herself or put on her own shoes, sure she really wants to be able to read and write like Audrey, wants "flat" hair so no one has to brush out her tangles, hiding, throwing tantrums for Daddy (and Mommy, too, sometimes), painting adorable and advanced-for-her-age artwork at art class, testing out Mommy's reaction to repeated use of a "bad" word, eating mainly fruit, veggies, grains and yogurt, has the sweetest toddler voice and babyfat cheeks, playing with her sister, laughing hysterically during mealtimes at Audrey's jokes, songs, or bodily noises

Sweet synopsis! Your home does look fantastic- I am always impressed with what you do there. I will let Audrey continue to dream of the sweetness of pregnancy and will not ruin her visions with stories of the horrid realities of pregnancy! :) Miss you all. How is that possible when we live so close? Also, did I miss a call from you last week? We had 11 people total in our house for the week and so I was out of commission. Saw your name on my phone but didn't hear any message- I hate it when I miss opportunities!
